Redwood Burl Bowl - Dyed and Stabilized
This gorgeous piece of redwood burl was begging for some experimentation. I dyed this piece in 3 stages (first blue, then purple, then maroon) along with some blue-green color shift foil pigment to highlight the cracks. Needless to say, but this piece is not food safe. It is finished with oil and wax, which gives this piece a nice and consistent matte sheen and ease of maintenance. This bowl measures approximately 9.25 inches wide and 4 inches tall.
